Last month, Live Nation told us to keep our calendars clear on Memorial Day Weekend because they were going to replace the now-defunct Sasquatch! Music Festival (RIP) with "a new generation of contemporary artists" that would "carry on the tradition at this iconic Northwest institution." The music promoting company didn't give us any more details at the time, but today a new Twitter and Instagram account showed up announcing a new festival called "End of the Rainbow" that will take place at the Gorge during Sasquatch's old time slot, Memorial Day Weekend.

Details are still minimal—Live Nation hasn't released information or even claimed responsibility for the two social media accounts—but what we can glean is somewhere between depressing and very depressing.

Bassnectar, the womp wompiest of all the womp womp EDM DJs, immediately retweeted the End of the Rainbow account.

Does that mean Live Nation is replacing Sasquatch's musically divergent lineup with a collection of mountain hippy EDM music? Are they trying to turn the Gorge into motherfucking Red Rocks?

We'll be watching and praying that the new Sasquatch isn't just a double billing of Bassnectar and Pretty Lights.
