Today, Portland-based soul singer/songwriter Blossom released a music video for “More Than,” the third and final tease from her forthcoming album Maybe, which drops on May 30 via EYRST. The sultry track and music video is only a minute and a half, and Blossom says it’s about late-night lust. “When we go out at night and we’re having a good time, you might let the liquor talk,” she explains in a news release. “‘More Than’ is specifically about a couple’s interaction as the night is ending. ‘How could you want more than access to my tab, a free ride to my pad… AKA I’m hooking you up and taking care of you tonight… Why don’t you wanna fuck with me?”
Prior to “More Than,” the songstress also dropped the promising “Career Suicide,” and “Moi รฅ Moi” singles, both showcasing her conversational delivery style over smooth, progressive R&B production. The Maybe singles were also perfectly timed with the announcement that Bloss will be hitting the road in June for a West Coast tour (dubbed “The Femmetape Summer Tour”) with Seattle R&B artist Parisalexa and Philadelphia-based singer/rapper Ivy Sole. They’ll play Portland on Saturday, June 29 at Holocene, and tickets are on sale now.
