This morning brought the announcement of 2016’s Project Pabst, which recently merged with the Willamette Week-sponsored MusicfestNW. The booze-fueled merger signifies a further reduction of Portland all-ages festivals, since MFNW will no longer exist as a separate entity. Tickets go on sale this Friday. Here are some highlights from the lineup:
โข Duran Duran (best known for soundtracking a Frankie Muniz masterpiece)
โข Ice Cube (veritable legend)
โข Tame Impala (Australia and LSD’s response to Led Zepagain)
โข Sheer Mag (best band on this list)
The festival takes place on August 27 and 28 at Waterfront Park, with additional to-be-announced evening shows taking place at different venues around the city.

Terrible.
