It’s official! Rebecca Black’s absolutely terrible but somehow infectiously earbuggy tune “Friday” is a bonafide internet sensation, and you can’t swing a dead untalented tween without hearing an ironic cover version of the song. And this version could be the most “ironical” of them all: it’s sung by a dude wearing a mullet and dog tags. But hey! Maybe he’s not being ironic at all. Maybe his passion for this song is absolutely on the level, mullets and dog tags are back in, and, once again, I’m the big pee-hole in this situation. Decide for yourself.
Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.) More by Wm. Steven Humphrey

Yeah that was really cute.
Is it weird that I really enjoyed this?

Set design WIN. How does a mullet guy have such a great place to live?
This video may have started out as something ironic, but it ended up startlingly fresh and affecting. And that guy is just hotter than a pistol.
Never heard the original, but this guy is good.
