O happy day! This just popped up on the Doug Fir’s calendar:

WANG CHUNG : 6/19 – on sale 3/27

Wait. Whaaaaa?

Yep, it’s true, the ’80s two-hit wonders are back. Of course you remember “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” (with its timeless invocation of “Everybody Wang Chung tonight!”), but Wang Chung is also responsible for this classic ’80s tune as well:

And they’ll probably play a bunch of songs that no one remembers, too!

  1. They will probably play “To Live and Die in L.A.” too. That’s the title song to the movie that they -for some damn reason- were given the job of writing and recording the entire soundtrack for. It was the first place I ever saw Willem Dafoe, playing a psychopathic killer.

It is also the basis for one of my very favorite band names, To Live and Shave in L.A.
