Boo hoo cab companies! Guess you better call the whaa-mbulance. TNCs don't have an obligation to staff drivers who have wheelchair access because they aren't providing the transportation, they are simply connecting people who have rides with people who need them. Cab companies maintain entire fleets of vehicles and are easily in position to step up the number of handicap access vehicles and meet the obvious demand for such fares. I think they better embrace this sector of the market before the TNCs put them put of business for good. As long as Uber and Lyft drivers are accountable for their whereabouts and conduct, I personally cheer this new stage of the communication age. It is nothing more or less than the future of carpooling. It provides income to drivers and fair prices for riders.
