There are lot of ways to participate in rallies, marches, and protests in the Portland area for Juneteenth (Friday June 19), as well as the weekend. You can find all these and many more in the Mercury's Protests and Resistance Calendar. KNOW OF ANY WE'RE MISSING? Email us here!

UPDATE: Here's a youth march starting at 2 pm today.

The following two rallies/marches start at 2:30 pm today, Friday June 19.

From the Facebook event, the BLACK LIBERATION RIDE is also today, Friday June 19:

NOTE: This will start at Irving Park (meet up 5:30 pm and ride at 6) and is a ride for the BLACK COMMUNITY. Everyone who identifies as Black, Indigenous, or a person of color is welcome, while others can help by donating to the causes in this link.

And of course, there's the nightly "Standing at the Gate" rally at the Multnomah County Justice Center (AKA the home of the Sacred Fence™), which tends to kick off around nightfall.

There are Saturday June 20 events too. This one at Revolution Hall (1300 SE Stark) will feature speakers (including Teressa Raiford, Albert Lee, and Poison Waters) as well as great musical acts such as Karma Rivera, Amenta Abioto, and Sávila.

And here's a fun livestream event for Saturday:

And there's this BAKERS AGAINST RACISM event, starting at 10 am on Saturday at the Side Yard Farm & Kitchen. "An anti-racist bake sale, featuring over 20 Portland-area bakers donating 100% of all proceeds from their goods to the Black United Fund of Oregon."
