Last year, Mingus Mapps said "I have no problem with the light rail proposal" which voters then wisely rejected in November. All the council supported it, mostly because they couldn't be bothered to investigate the horrendous impact to "widen" Hwy 99W (ODOT domain) from 5- to 8-lanes, its' absurd engineering, its' plainly obvious potential to worsen already horrible traffic hazards on Barbur Blvd, worsen air quality and harm Fanno Creek watershed. The proposal was nothing more than a land grab, which is fine with city council where money talks and public health and safety is just campaign rhetoric.

If Ryan's people think they can claim he's delivered on homelessness, they're nuts. He's delivered jack shit.

I'm just gonna tell ya once more, I screwed a few bolts on my past years working on a "CCC" Central City Connector Seattle thinks is stupid. Have a look at this streetcar rail investment: 1st/2nd Ave Couplet. Uphill on 1st Ave "curbside stops" to Pike east to 6th Av north to Westlake. From Westlake west on Stewart to 2nd Ave south "curbside stops" to a Jackson "Wye" with "loop" back on 1st Av. Poor Seattle. Nincompoops galore.
Phony mayors there and Portland. Bring Mike McGinn back. Get rid of Ted. Puh-Leeeeze....choking on how gastly Ted has been, thinks he's the greatest himself,
things keep going wrong. ODOT horrendous engineering decisions.
The old CRC I-5 project (renamed) redesign is worse, unbelievable.
Well, ce la vie. YouTube "The Great Love Affair" 1966 American Highways & Car Culture." Laugh at 5-min 15-min 25-min its entire 52-min length and in between. So funny.

Euphonius, didn’t you not know that Ryan’s opening six Safe Rest Villages by the end of the year, even though the third location was just announced and ground hasn’t been broken on any of them and it’s almost December? Oh, wait — that does sound like jack shit.
