All the council supported it, mostly because they couldn't be bothered to investigate the horrendous impact to "widen" Hwy 99W (ODOT domain) from 5- to 8-lanes, its' absurd engineering, its' plainly obvious potential to worsen already horrible traffic hazards on Barbur Blvd, worsen air quality and harm Fanno Creek watershed. The proposal was nothing more than a land grab, which is fine with city council where money talks and public health and safety is just campaign rhetoric.
