Did Multnomah County Violate an Employee’s First Amendment Rights?

Former Multnomah County data analyst Amanda Lamb has twice shared information about serious racial disparities within the county’s criminal justice system. In both instances, she was fired shortly afterward.

Now, four months after her most recent termination, a legal investigation is hoping to answer a concerning question: Did Multnomah County violate Lamb’s First Amendment rights by firing her?

Thanks to Oregon law, the answer may be difficult to track down.
