Anyone out there, Blogtown? Let’s have some news!

Let’s start our Saturday news with the kind of news you just look at. Because sometimes reading is hard. Take a look at these beautiful photos of Pluto. Not the dog, the dwarf planet.

Weather update: Sunglasses might be in order if you’re going outside this morning, because that big yellow orb in the sky is bright:

Why are the Googles still showing Fridays weather?
  • Why are the Googles still showing Friday’s weather?

If it still hurts, make yourself a Medicina de Mezcal. Trust me.

Next, let’s have some weed. Here’s a boatload of plants, so many that it “looked like a small forest and even had a gazebo.” They were found in a remote area in London and will, sadly, be destroyed by the police. Bummer.

Know what else is a bummer? All those Volkswagens that are ONE BIG LIE and aren’t environmentally friendly after all. VW owners are grumpy.

Speaking of lying, the general manager and chief engineer at ALSCO, a Portland cleaning factory, pleaded guilty to pollution charges. One employee claims workers were told to dump hydrogen peroxide into factory water whenever inspectors visited.

Here’s a list of the five most expensive apartment buildings in Portland, where space rents for as much as $3.74 per square foot.

This Saturday is starting out sorta negative. Let’s liven things up by thanking his holiness the pope for inspiring House Speaker John Boehner’s abrupt resignation.

Even better: another clown show of a Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump, got booed by a group of conservatives.

But wait, there’s more: Patti LaBelle, who is really sassy, is getting her own cooking show. It debuts Sunday on the Cooking Channel. This should be really entertaining.

Patti is sassy, but Julia Child will always be the master. Let’s watch her in action before you go stand in a long, long line for brunch:

  1. Careful What You Wish For, in terms of Boehners resignation.
Will we end up with a True Obstructionist Tea Party member?
You will be longing for the ‘respectable’ days of past if this happens.
