GOOD MORNING, BLOGTOWN! ‘Cause when I think of you, baby. Nothin’ else seems to matter. ‘Cause when I think of you, baby. All I think about is our love. LET’S GO TO PRESS.
While firefighters are making progress thanks to calming winds, wildfires are still plaguing Oregon and especially those in the Warm Springs tribal community.
A man was shot but not critically injured yesterday following an argument at a kid’s birthday party in Laurelhurst Park.

At least 16 are dead and 80 wounded (at latest count) after a bomb goes off outside a Hindu shrine in Bangkok.
Meanwhile a Syrian jet bombs a Damascus suburb on Sunday, killing 100—many of whom were civilians.
Following a New York Times article documenting terrible working conditions at Amazon, CEO Jeff Bezos responds, “C’mon guys! It’s really not so really kind of bad, I think sorta!”
In Manhattan, the 33-year-old granddaughter of actor Morgan Freeman was found stabbed to death.
In perhaps the weirdest Iowa primary yet, Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump descends on the state—with Trump giving kids free rides in his helicopter.
Oh, but there is one group of children that Trump will NOT be giving helicopter rides to… the babies of illegal immigrants.
Now let’s read about some WEATHER: Hot and hazy days ahead with today’s high touching 90.
And finally, what do you get when you cross Die Antwood’s “I Fink U Freeky” with the Teletubbies? This perfect thing!

You know what pisses me off about all this IOWA attention?
IOWA ATTENTION.
I used to be super-pissed at the state of Florida for trying to move up its’ primaries because I thought it was selfish and self-serving, but what the fuck — where is Oregon in these National Decisions till it is far too late to make a difference?
Our voting system needs some way to alternate between regions for Primary Runoff Elections.
Hopefully one that incorporates the needs of rural areas with the overwhelming population strength of metropolitan areas.
I’m just getting sick and tired about having to hear what some assholes from IOWA think about whom our candidates should be.
Or, at least hear from our own assholes on the National stage – once in awhile.
This seems fair and Democratic to me.
