Killer Cops Walk: There will be no criminal charges for the two Sacramento police officers who shot and killed Stephon Clark, a 22-year-old unarmed black man who was chased by police into his grandmother’s backyard last year. During a press conference Saturday, the Sacramento County District Attorney suggested Clark was wanting to end his own life anyway. Jesus.

Paul v. Wall: Wildcard Sen. Rand Paul has announced his intention to support a Democrat-led resolution to block Donald Trump’s attempt to use national emergency dollars to build a US-Mexico wall, joining three other Senate Republicans. Disaster in Alabama: A number of destructive tornados has left at least 23 dead in an Alabama country. It’s already been deemed the most destructive tornado in the past five years.

Poaching Poachers: An investigation by Buzzfeed reveals that WWF (the World Wide Fund for Nature) uses violent paramilitary guards to go after suspected poachers. Allegations of sexual assault, child torture, and murder has quickly tarnished the environmental group’s humanitarian reputation.

MUTINY: How dare Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez get a ride in her aunt’s gas-guzzling minivan when she preaches green energy reform?

Street Justice: Thousands of Portlanders took to the (cold, windy) streets yesterday for the 3rd annual Womxn’s March. Local and national electeds—like US rep. Suzanne Bonamici and Multnomah County Commissioner Susheela Jayapal—spoke on the importance of resiliency and endurance under a president who holds women in little regard. Ironically (yet, expectedly), the Sunday march was visited by attention-seeking alt-right boys and their faithful documentarians who unsuccessfully tried to make the rally about their feelings.

The Wall Street Journal‘s editorial board isn’t pleased with Oregon’s brand-new rent control rules.

Abuse of Power 101: The Oregonian uncovers Portland State University President Rahmat Shoureshi’s record of lavish spending (during major student tuition hikes), staff mistreatment, and ethics violations.
