The unfriendly skies: After grounding all of its flights for over an hour due to “a computer problem,” causing a huge passenger backup, United Airlines is back on line.

Horrible: A Beaverton police officer was shot— and a suspect killed—during a domestic violence call this morning.

A reminder to not start fires: A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with four arson cases in Northeast Portland.

A headline we’ll probably be seeing a lot of over the next few months: “It’s legal, but…“

In Greece: A formal request for a three-year bailout plan.

Today, in about fucking time: A federal judge has ordered that the Washington Redskins’ trademark registrations be canceled. Sounds like the team will appeal, because when you’re on the wrong side of history, why not cling for dear life to your hateful symbols?

Speaking of hateful symbols, the South Carolina House debate over the Confederate flag—aka the next hoop to jump through to get rid of it—is on. SC Governor Nikki Haley has called for it to be removed, calling it a “deeply offensive symbol of a brutally offensive past.”

Meanwhile, in drought-riddled California, Tom Selleck (yes, that one) has been accused of stealing “truckloads” of city-owned hydrant water. TOM SELLECK, REALLY?!

In case you missed it: Gov. Kate Brown signed a bill into law Monday morning allowing birth control to be sold over the counter in Oregon. California is the only other state to have such a provision.

Finally, in wolf news: The Oregon Wolf pack pups ARE HERE! THE OREGON WOLF PACK PUPS ARE HERE! GOOD MORNING!
