Occupy Umbrellas!

“Whose school? Our school!” Occupy Portland, meet your younger, debt-ridden cousin, Occupy Portland State University.

PSU students and allies gathered on campus this afternoon to march in solidarity with Occupy Portland/Wall Street. Bonus! It was also a exciting excuse to walk out of class. Led by PSU students, but dotted by recognizable Occupy Portland staple characters, the 200 or more crowd marched north on the sidewalk, fenced off from the streets by trusty Portland bike cops. Drums, posters and chants glued the mass together.

Check out a couple photos from the event:

  1. Wow, those who comment on the Mercury blog never fail to provide comments that completely lack intellectual thought. I challenge someone to educate themselves about this movement, or anything for that matter, and critically and thoughtfully assess what they read about, then make a comment. Can it be done?
