The second World Forestry Center Log Lady look-alike contest drew visitors from as far as Finland to the Portland museum’s celebration.
A casual redux of the center’s 2025 two month Log Lady exhibit, this single-day event nevertheless hosted the original log from David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, donut holes, coffee, and Log Lady crafts. Additionally, the center offered two screenings of I Know Catherine, The Log Lady: a 2025 documentary about Catherine Coulson, the actress who portrayed the character. Coulson died of lung cancer in 2015. Her character suffered from the same illness, and Coulson performed her final scenes as the Log Lady—for Twin Peaks: The Return—just four days before her death.
Last year’s exhibit drew together the eccentric Twin Peaks character with Coulson’s personal wildfire prevention advocacy, and brought about the center’s first Log Lady look-alike contest.
From nine contestants, judges selected a three-way tie, doling out prizes of cherry pie to the winners. The youngest Log Lady present, 7-year-old Mila McCart, didn’t join the competition.
