Elizabeth Warren appears to be the first 2020 presidential candidate to call for Trump's impeachment following the release of Barr's version of Robert Mueller's report. On Friday the senator from Massachusetts laid out her case on the president's favorite platform:
The severity of this misconduct demands that elected officials in both parties set aside political considerations and do their constitutional duty. That means the House should initiate impeachment proceedings against the President of the United States.

According to CBS, other 2020 candidates have called for Congress to continue investigating Trump, while others have called for the party to move on. Gov Jay Inslee came pretty close today when he said impeachment "shouldn't be off the table." But Warren knows high crimes and misdemeanors when she sees them, and so she's decided to join team ITMFA.
Yesterday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez signed onto Rep. Rashida Tlaib's impeachment resolution.
Mueller’s report is clear in pointing to Congress’ responsibility in investigating obstruction of justice by the President.
It is our job as outlined in Article 1, Sec 2, Clause 5 of the US Constitution.
As such, I’ll be signing onto @RashidaTlaib’s impeachment resolution. https://t.co/CgPZJiULOL

While there's probably not enough votes in the Senate to confirm an impeachment case brought by the House, that shouldn't stop the House from following through on their constitutional duty to oversee the executive office. These lawmakers get that. And that's good.
