Last week, I told you about the online retailer who alienated comics professionals and fans alike by writing a blog post after the Tucson shootings titled “1 down, 534 to go.”
Late yesterday, Bleeding Cool brought the heartening news that the authorities have come and taken this douchebag retailer’s guns away from him.
According to Boston.com, police have begun an investigation over his comments, and in doing so seized a “large amount” of weapons and ammunition. Corcoran surrendered the items to the police at his home. and has had his firearms license suspended on grounds of “suitability.”
It’s heartening to know that cops follow the comic book nerd blogosphere so closely.
No mention of Comics Alliance?

Personally, I support this. But, somewhat ironically, this raid will only reinforce his and other Tea Partiers’ persecution paranoia. To them it’ll validate their fears. After the Feds take away their guns, then they’ll round up everyone for FEMA internment camps and (gasp!) provide affordable single-payer healthcare to everyone. The horror. The horror.
@Alison: The second comment on that post is nicely prophetic: “I just hope he enjoys the visit from the FBI he is bound to get in the next day or so.”
I want to see a a table pairing those who were against the FBI “entrapment” of the Christmas tree bomber and those who are in favor of this.
