From the Tribune:

Embattled Mayor Sam Adams is scheduled to discuss his future with the rest of the City Council Saturday in a series of one-on-one meetings at City Hall.

Commissioners Randy Leonard and Nick Fish said they did not know what Adams planned to tell them.

Adams and Commissioner Amanda Fritz could not immediately be reached for comment.

The meetings could mean that Adams is close to announcing whether he will resign or return to work in the wake of a teenage sex scandal.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. “The meetings could mean that Adams is close to announcing whether he will resign or return to work in the wake of a teenage sex scandal.”

Note that even in the news section, the Tribune doesn’t say that it is an “honesty scandal”, or “falsehood scandal”, they go right for “sex scandal”.

As far as the Tribune is concerned, to them this is about sex.

  2. Before he makes his decision, he really should consult with his his adviser on sustainability and strategic planning.
