What follows is a five minute video of awesome people from the internet doing awesomely amazing internetty things. (In fact the only thing UN-awesome about this video is the ’80s-style creepy rah-rah techno in the background. Please hit the mute button, open a new tab, and play this song instead.)

Soooo… HOW DOES THIS VIDEO MAKE YOU FEEL?

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. Uh…Some of those clips are awesome. However, you do realize that some of those clips are phony? Such as the one where the guy runs on water. That was part of a viral campaign for the shoes he was wearing and he was running on a piece of plexiglas just under the water.

There is awesome and there is gullible. Try not to mix the two.

  2. Yeah, I think it was all fake…. Ther’es no way that little chinese girl could’ve skidded her bike into that parallel parking spot. Everyone knows asians can’t drive worth a dang!

  3. @uglymugworld

That all the whole “Jesus Christ” thing was too. A viral campaign for a Judean sandal-making workshop that just got way out of hand…

  4. The guy running on water is definitely fake–probably just a board right under the water. His feet are hitting the water hard, and he’s not going especially fast. There’s a small lizard with big feet (a basilisk) that can do this, but not even the biggest of THEM can do it. So w/e.

Most of the vids seem more real, but the basketball shots can obviously be done hundreds of times until they make the shot. But they still had to spend the time. 🙂

  5. I decided to use Kashmir as background music (don’t ask, I blame Loch Lamond), and it wasn’t just awesome, it was EPIC.

P.S. It’s the internets. Who gives a twat if it’s fake? (OMG! Grover has a hand up his bum! Scandal!)
