Portland in Color just announced its next big event in Rose City Rolodex: A Portland in Color Networking Event. With Swift Agency as its host, Portland in Color invites Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Color for some good old fashioned face-to-face interaction, networking, or maybe just mingling!

Portland in Color is a women-run online diversity database (if you will) that seeks to showcase and connect Portland’s creative professionals of color. It’s run by writer (and frequent Mercury contributor) Emilly Prado and photographer Celeste Noche, who collaborate to create the various artist profiles featured on their site.

If you would like to meet creatives of color, connect with industry experts, or build professional relationships, there will be a lot of diverse talent at this swanky event. There will be beverages and light snacks provided by Tillamook, while DJs NoBiEs and Anjali hold down the 1s and 2s. There’s also a raffle, with prizes from Bitch Media, Icon Tattoo, Literary Arts, Holocene, and more. All of the proceeds will go toward Portland in Color’s next series of artist features.
Admission to the event is free, but RSVP is required.

  1. Yay! Thanks for sharing Jenni. The event is also open to non-POC creatives/industry professionals as well but definitely BIPOC-centered! We hope to see lots of people from various fields and backgrounds making new connections.
