I’m posting the trailer for The Burning Plain here because (A) it was partially filmed in Portland, RIGHT BY MY HOUSE, and (B) it was made by Guillermo Arriaga, who’s had a hand in some great films like The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada and Babel.
I wouldn’t otherwise post this, though—because while, as ever, it’s impossible to judge a film by its trailer, the impression I get from this one is that it maybe should have been titled Lifetime Channel TV Movie About Three Sad-Looking Women Who Are Unaware That the Bad Guy from That One Season of 24 Is Trying to Kill Them.

OH GOD THE FEELINGS! THE UNNECESSARY FEELINGS! MAKE THEM STOP!!!
