This has been cropping up on various places around the internet (I first saw it on Slog), but it’s so great that if you missed it, you need to see it for yourself.

Yes, this was a real pilot for a TV show in 1990 that never got picked up, for some baffling reason. I mean, look at it! It’s a masterpiece!

Or, at least, it would have been better than Everybody Loves Raymond.

  1. I love how committed Poochinski is to biting that dude’s nuts. It’s like the director told the puppet to REALLY go after that scrotum. Fine acting all around.

  2. I’m sure the clips are on the level (how could a talking dog animatronic dram-com not seem like a good idea in the 90’s?) but I think the voice over is from a TV special about failed pilots.
