I don’t think there will ever be a greater sports-related, or drug-releated, story than the tale of Doc Ellis. A former pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Ellis is famous for being one of the handful of professional athletes to have thrown a no-hitter in the big leagues.

Oh yeah, he pitched that no-hitter while high on LSD!!!!!

Now thanks to No Mas, there is this gorgeous animated clip that documents Ellis’ wild pitching, and tripping, performance. It’s a fantastic video, complete with music by Rufus Thomas, that is mandatory viewing for both sports fans, and those who enjoy ridiculous stories about hallucinogenic drugs.
