- Brandon Roy rises from the earth, brushes off dirt, leads Blazers to victory.
On Saturday Brandon Roy shocked everyone—not made of adamantium—by taking the court a mere eight days removed from knee surgery in order to help will his Portland Trail Blazers to a 96-87 victory over the Phoenix Suns. Roy only contributed 10 points, but his presence was enough to give the Blazers a wave of momentum, while scaring the pants off a Suns team that must have thought they were playing against a zombie (to be fair, Roy did eat Louis Amundson’s brains, and ponytail, during halftime). The Suns’ offensive output was their worst performance in over a year, and the win ties this best-of-seven series at two games apiece. Game five is tonight in Phoenix, 7:30pm on TNT and KGW.
Regardless of what happens tonight, or how many players Roy bites, tickets for game six (this Thursday at the Rose Garden) go on sale today at 2pm on the team’s site. There is a limit of four tickets per person, and they encourage you to set up an account in advance.

Let’s go Blazers! Win tonight and bring it home to Game 6 for the series win. Nothing will say “thank you” to the fans better!
Go Blazers!!!
Dear Blazers:
I have enjoyed immensely watching you play and compete this season. You are a great team and one of my favorites of all time among Blazers teams that I have been watching since 1989. I might complain from time to time about certain individual players, but jeezus you guys are solid. Love you.

It’s time for Rudy to blow up. If he can finally start raining 3’s, we got this.
Rudy’s a dead man walking. Trade bait.
In addition to Roy having surgery 8 days before, didn’t he get his stitches out 1 day before?
At any rate: Go Blazers!
@ ROM – He played with sutures, actually. They were removed after the game. Dude’s a beast!
