While I generally abhor anyone one person or organization declaring “rules” for the internet—I thought this was pretty spot on. Notice anything they missed?

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. Agreeing with all. I see “said no one, ever” on facebook far more often than twitter, though.

“That moment when” can also go straight to hell. As in “That moment when you realize that your posts beginning with “that moment when” are always trite observations filtered through a passive-aggressive complaint like this one.”

  2. Transgression: Only tweeting 308 times in 17 months. Terrible-points: At least the numerical equivalent of pi. #wmstevenhumphrey #notreallytrying
