Adebisi
In addition to their Sunday set at PDX Pop Now!, here’s another chance to see Portland-based neo-soul seven-piece Adebisi, led by singer/lyricist Bisi Ashley. Despite their limited online presence, the band’s been honing their craft and growing their presence in the scene since 2017. 32nd Annual Oregon Brewers Festival
The Northwest tradition returns to the Waterfront to serve over 85,000 customers some of the finest beer the world will ever drink, and for the first time ever, the fest will feature nothing but Oregon craft beers and ciders. JAW: A Playwrights Festival
Every summer, emerging playwrights are selected from a competitive pool to develop, revise, and debut brand-new work at Portland Center Stage during the nationally appreciated JAW: A Playwrights Festival—all for the low, low cost of zero dollars to you. As a sneak peek at new theater creators making cool shit, JAW is more than worth your time. Throw in air conditioning and you’d be a fool. Fundraiser for Reproductive Rights
A concert starring some of the regions best musicians, benefitting the Yellowhammer Fund, which fights to protect women’s reproductive rights in the state of Alabama. Performers include Jessica Manalo, Static Shadows, Avalanche Lily, and Laura Ivancie. (Fri July 26, 7 pm, Growler’s Taproom, $7)

Hayley & the Crushers, Slutty Hearts, Ex-Kids, B.R.U.C.E.
Hayley Crusher Cain and her San Luis Obispo-based band bring their pop-tinged punk and surf-rock up the coast in support of their latest album, Cool / Lame. Portland’s own Slutty Hearts, Ex-Kids, and B.R.U.C.E. round out the bill. (Fri July 26, 8 pm, Twilight Cafe & Bar, $7)

Mink Shoals, Disco Volante, Monumental
The Fixin’ To serves up an evening of ’60s-indebted garage rock, soul, and psych courtesy of Portland’s own Mink Shoals, with Disco Volante and Monumental on hand to round out the bill. (Fri July 26, 9 pm, The Fixin’ To, $7)

The Doubleclicks, PDX Broadsides, Megathruster
The Doubleclicks are maybe the single best example of geek-folk potential fully realized, and they’re coming back to their old Portland stomping grounds to celebrate the release of their latest LP, The Book Was Better, and they’re getting lots of love and support from friends PDX Broadsides and Megathruster. Comedy Party PDX
Desert Island Studios opens its doors for a Saturday night stand-up show, featuring homecoming sets from former Portland comedy scene staples Curtis Cook and Milan Patel, along with performances by local favorites Tory Ward, Nariko Ott, Kirsten Kuppenbender, and Adam Pasi. Hosted by and Hunter Donaldson and Jake Silberman. Glasys, Maiah Wynne
Fleet-fingered keyboardist Gil Assayas got perhaps his biggest stamp of approval when he was tapped to fill in for Ralph Schuckett on the 2018 reunion tour of Todd Rundgren’s rock group Utopia. And he’s been using the energy generated from those gigs to fuel his latest album Defective Humanity, a flinty collection of elliptical pop tunes and ’70s prog-meets-modern trap instrumentals. Catch him now before he heads out this fall to join Rundgren, Micky Dolenz, and Christopher Cross on their White Album tribute tour this fall. (Sat July 27, 8 pm, Jack London Revue, $10) ROBERT HAM

Bailey’s Taproom 12th Anniversary
Not only is Bailey’s celebrating their birthday, they’re doing it via a barrel-aged beerfest of their own, highlighting some of their favorites as collected over the past 365 days, including beers by pFriem, Aslan, Pinthouse Pizza, The Commons, Upright, Breakside, and many more. Erin Jane Laroue, Kertoa Kalevala
Chalant, Laroue’s debut collection of keyboard-driven tracks, lives in the shadows near the intersection of folk, new age, gothic pop, and modern classical. Laroue played every instrument on the album, and each song unfolds slowly, providing ample space for Laroue’s haunting melodies and emotionally raw lyrics to bloom. Recurring themes include light and darkness, life and death, fear, redemption, and the uncertainty that always lies ahead. (Sat July 27, 8 pm, The Lovecraft, $5) BEN SALMON

Siobhan Wilson, Charlie Moses
Glasgow-hailing singer/songwriter Siobhan Wilson brings her neo-folk sounds to the Doug Fir Patio to head up the latest installment in the Pickin’ On Sundays series. Portland’s own Charlie Moses rounds out the proceedings (Sun July 28, 3 pm, Doug Fir, free)

Autonomics
Autonomics traffics in the kind of sloppy, speedy garage-rock meant to bang a few heads and spill a few beers. Witness it tonight when they headline a free Sunday Session at Rontoms. (Sun July 28, 8 pm, Rontoms, free)

Big Bad Beat w/ E.T. The Extra Terrestrial
Melanie Roy and her band serve up some classic R&B, funk, and boogie to activate your soul before 1982’s nuclear-grade tearjerker E.T. The Extra Terrestrial rips out your heart. No. 09 Tan Lines Festival
Beacon Quarterly celebrates the release of their latest issue by throwing a one-day festival at Century featuring art installations, couture contests, limited edition merch, and a whole lotta live talent performing for your edification. (Sun July 28, noon, Century, $5)

Mondo Croquet World Championships and Mad Hatter Picnic
Croquet, American-style, is just like the regular game, except you use a bowling ball and a sledgehammer, because America. Extra bowling balls and sledgehammers will be available on site, if you’re worried about coming down to this hoity-toity kinda shindig and not being fully prepared. But you probably should come attired in your finest “lawn whites” or—yunno what? Just wear whatever. You’re gonna be whacking bowling balls all over downtown with a sledgehammer. Enjoy yourself. Gifted Gab, Karma Rivera
When Seattle-bred MC Gifted Gab comes to Portland to play a show, it’s a rare and exceedingly delightful affair. The artist’s witty rhymes are best enjoyed live, and she’ll no doubt be performing all the best tracks from her latest project, Cause & Effect. (She also runs a hilarious, take-no-prisoners Twitter account.) This Doug Fir bill also showcases Portland-based rapper Karma Rivera, who recently released a music video for “A Game,” a single from her debut EP Don’t Sleep on This. Rapper/singer Mal London adds even more vibey allure to the bill, along with heavily seasoned DJ/producer Rev Shines (of Lifesavas). And bitch, you shan’t miss it.
