If you’re not binge watching the first four seasons of Justified, then you might want to get started, because the season five premiere debuts TONIGHT (Jan 7, FX, 10 pm). Timothy Olyphant (Deadwood) stars as Kentucky marshall Raylan Givens, and you’d be hard-pressed to find a cooler, anti-hero lawman on TV. Smart writing (all based on Elmore Leonard’s books), great acting, and fun action make this hillbilly police procedural one of the MUST SEE shows of the 2014 winter season. DO… NOT… MISS… IT.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)
