Prick up your ears, nerdlings! Here’s the extended trailer for CW’s newest fall superhero show, The Flash—and while I haven’t been able to really get into Arrow, The Flash looks like it’s more my speed OH MY GOD I DIDN’T MEAN TO DO THAT. Anyway, the vibe feels a lot more lighthearted and it’s jam-packed with cute young people, which I am ashamed to say I enjoy a bit too much DON’T JUDGE MEEEEEEE!!! Watch.

(Waaaaitasecond! That opening shot is PORTLAND. Anybody know if any thing other than cityscapes are being shot here?)

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. The giant Flash-generating explosion (0:54) at S.T.A.R Labs is clearly where O.M.S.I. is. Note the unfinished Tilicum Crossing bridge.

There is a map of Portland at 2:57 (west side of the river is the top of the map) and a nice Fremont Bridge shot at 4:05. They seem to be sticking to Portland for the layout of the city.

The street shots and filming look like Vancouver, which makes sense since they use Vacouver as Starling City in Arrow and film there.
