Here’s a question: WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO DIVING BOARD COMEDY? I can’t think of one single stinking venue in town that will allow a good diving board comedian to perform at their club. THIS BLATANT DISCRIMINATION HAS GOT TO STOP. To show these club bookers what they’re missing, here’s a clip of the “King of Diving Board Comedy” Larry Griswold performing his absolutely hilarious and harrowing act on the Frank Sinatra Show back in 1951. Watch this… it will BLOW YOUR FREAKING MIND.

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)
