Deadline Hollywood breaks the news of a new show that will surely be like the American Idol of running away from other people:
Waka waka waka! Pac-Man, is headed to reality TV. Merv Griffin Entertainment has teamed with leading game maker Namco Bandai Games America, which owns the Pac-Man brand, to develop an unscripted series based on the hugely popular video game…The Pac-Man reality series is envisioned as a “big, crazy Wipeout-type event with a lot of energy,” said Merv Griffin’s president of TV Roy Bank. “The idea we have is to take what Pac-Man is and bring it to life, to bring what is essentially the world’s biggest game of tag to television.”
Yes. Because tag is what we want to watch on television. Next, you should do Celebrity Hide-and-Seek. If you need a video game brand to sell this, maybe you should use Combat.

Oh wow! What an original idea, I can’t believe that

Or Contra… now there’s a reality show – drop contestants in a jungle, make them jump for their guns, only let them run in one direction, and shoot at them constantly,
Wow. Teh Merv may be dayed, but his spirit obviously lives on in every odd thing his company tips out.
