Kir Jensen, she of the much-loved triple-threat chocolate
chip cookies, has shut down her dessert street cart Sugar Cube.
But this sad event comes with a sugary silver lining. Jensen is now the
new tart at Two Tarts Bakery at 2309 NW Kearney (making it Three
Tarts?) where the aforementioned cookies will be available to
chocoholics, people with sweet teeth, and Cathy, from that lame comic
strip.
New Deal has announced the opening of their new tasting room
at their Southeast Portland distillery (1311 SE 9th). They’ll be
conducting tours of their facility most Saturdays with opportunities
for visitors to taste and purchase. Your liver hates them.
