Matt Mount of House Spirits (makers of Medoyeff
Vodka and Aviation Gin) confirmed last week that the popular
Recession Proof Mixology series (RPM) would be making rounds
through some of Portland’s gentlemen’s clubs and gay bars. Every
Wednesday night for the last several months, House Spirits
representatives have offered their $5 specialty cocktail list at
participating bars. This will be their first foray into the city’s

On Tuesday, April 21, from noon until 8 pm, all Portland Ben and
Jerry’s locations will be offering a free cone to all. It’s the
31st year of Free Cone Day, and should you feel generous after a
free scoop, you can leave a donation to benefit Portland’s New
Avenues for Youth, which works with the Ben and Jerry’s downtown
location (524 SW Yamhill) to provide job training to at-risk youth.
