During a press conference at the Pentagon this morning, President Donald Trump commemorated the 16th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in which thousands were killed. During his speech, Trump assured the country that “America will not be intimidated” by terrorists who “have nowhere to hide anywhere on this very large Earth.”
“On that day, not only did the world change, but we all changed,” Trump said. “Our eyes were opened to the depths of the evil we face. But in that hour of darkness, we also came together with renewed purpose. Our differences never looked so small, our common bonds never felt so strong.”
Very presidentialโor, at least more so than the lies he told about American Muslims celebrating the attacks or how his Manhattan building became the tallest after the World Trade Center fell.
