I don’t know why all the complaining. I love Portland! My big plan was to move here from the midwest and take over the journalistic world with my sarcasm and wit, but I prescribe to the notion that most twenty somethings don’t know what they want to do with thier lives. Unlike most of you i will be figuring it out by thirty. I do know I want to be a big city girl with access to the small time nature we love so supremely close too. I want to live in a cabin some of the year, travel extensively, and surround myself with good friends. So Portland is the place for me. For those who want to leave, more for me!
I Love Portland!

If you don’t figure it out by thirty, maybe a fantasist can write you a subscription.
Since when has the Mercury published staff resumes?
Sounds like you’ve got it all figured out, in that, you’ll eventually figure out what you want to do with your life by 30. Unlike everybody else, huh?
Welcome to Portland!!! You’ll fit right in.
Todd- More like PERscription. Guaranteed she is on some kind of anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medication.
What’s that merc singles site called?
Oh anywho i will just post about me HERE. Same difference.
Okay, if you want to be a “big city girl”, you’re going to have to go to a big city. This isn’t that.
Thanks for your ever-so original take on Portland, though! I definitely haven’t heard that from every newly arrived 20-something, right before it starts raining and they go back home where they can find a job.
Obvious troll is obviously trolling
Good for you,and don’t get discouraged. Competition in any city is hard if you don’t have that extra something. What is encouraging for you, is you have a dream. Make it happen.
You will do well I bet, and get involved in the book clubs,
museums, arts, and go for what you want. Welcome to Portland.
More Salt ‘n Straw for you!
