I’m hesitant to post this, knowing that the internet will tear apart the whitest rap video ever made, but a bunch of Cleveland High School kids have made a breathy music video supporting the Portland schools bond. But, hey, they made it! And put it on YouTube! And want to raise support for the $548 million bond. So here we go:

  1. Surprisingly well made and adorable. But do you really want to refer to a bunch of teenagers as “Our Country’s Igniters”? Future arsonists, unite!

  2. Super cute and well put together with a great message. The snarkiest thing I can think of to say is that Portland Schools needs more funding for its arts programs to teach these kids how to rap!

  3. Very impressive! When’s the last time you saw a bunch of high school kids work hard to pass a school bond measure? (By way of disclosure, my grandson produced the video, so I’m a little biased.) Baba

  4. I thought the schools were crumbling. They look even better than I thought. Kids look wel fed too. mmmmm

Everyone has to make sacrifices during poor economic times. Schools are no different.
