Here’s the new Thermals video, directed by Portland filmmaker Lance Bangs and shot using some of the very last Kodachrome film in existence. It’s a gorgeous, nostalgic clip shot at Cathedral Park, featuring a subdued Hutch and Kathy lip-syncing the song’s wonderfully bitter lyrics, plus some giddy dancing by a cast of locals, including Reporter’s Alberta Poon and the Mercury‘s very own Flannery Smith!

The Thermals play this Saturday, January 28 at Branx. Tickets are going fast, so you should probably get yours now. But if you don’t, you might want to keep your eye on End Hits this week. Just sayin’.

End Hits: Only slightly less famouser than Flannery.

  1. Fruck, years ago I thought Kodachrome was going to be around for ever. Now this news with the other b/w film disappearing from the global market is gonna gimmie another super 8 semi crisis of where to bulk binge buy. (In case in a near future I have time to fool around with my camera amateurishly – forget the developing part, that may be done in Mars – ). Sad news.

    Now to watch the video!!!
