A few weeks ago, at the Julie Ruin TBA show, one of my favorite Portland zinesters (and author of the great Love Is Not Constantly Wondering If You're Making the Biggest Mistake of Your Life) handed me a copy of his new zine. And it's a thing of beauty, from the cover to the straight-forward Q&A tone that's maintained throughout the entire zine.

"Do cats really play with guns?"

"Yes! Absolutely yes!"

"So my cat finds a gun, what's the big deal?"
"It is often said that curiosity killed the cat, but what is less often stated is that the actual cause of death was the improper discharge of firearms by a poorly trained feline."

The whole thing is like that—ten pages of resolutely straight-faced yet silly-because-it's-cats advice. You can pick up a copy for a mere $2 at Floating World or Bridge City Comics.
