I received a “voter guide” from the Oregon Right to Life in my mail today and GOD-DAMN, I’m pissed. I went to their website to give them an earful and wouldn’t you know it, I had to call their “office” (likely a basement) in Salem. I really despise these right-to-lifers and especially those crazy protesters on MLK by the Planned Parenthood. How come I never see any of you protesting the war? Where are you when it comes to funding Head Start programs or our public schools? What about the WIC program? Yeah, you’re not there because once a baby is born, you’re fucking through with them, aren’t you? And your antiquated notion that “God will provide” and wants us to populate the world until there’s no room to fucking move is INSANE. Seriously, if you want to blindly follow the scribblings of people who lived in CAVES, the have at it. Me? I’d rather EVOLVE and live in the present, and the fucking present says that there are too many people on this planet. The present says that too many idiots (religious and otherwise) are popping out too many babies and adding to the problem. The present says that I’m voting for a women’s right to choose. and do you protest the women that don’t take precaution not to get pregnant? Just have a little to say about that. It seems women who get in this position are expecting men to take care of birth control. That will be a long time coming, so if women don’t want to get pregnant, please use protection so we don’t have to keep hearing your rights are violated. It’s too bad we had to be pushed so far as to legislate or de-regulate what goes on in a persons womb. Life/Choice: Pregnancy is life, but a woman has a right to terminate, but not too far along I pray. It most certainly is a very difficult decision, right or wrong. It has repercussions that last a lifetime, be it ever so short or long.
