Did you really think this city was not going to boom like the others along the West Coast. People do save money (myself) and move to places they can afford. You had plenty of opportunities to save and buy a home instead of rent. NO FUCKING RENT CONTROL should have been a clue.   13. My wife and I moved here couple three years ago. We’re retired. Our income per month is $13 to much for food stamps. Soooo we could still be back in Bumfuck, Wherever, USA collecting our checks, or here in a very pretty state (for the most part) and the greatest year round weather than any place we’ve lived. Screw the lifers here if they don’t like us coming in. If the rent goes up that sucks, but we’ll find another place. We’re not afraid of the boogey man any more!
