So far, the Hollywood Theatre's 70mm Extravaganza has been fantastic—their print of 2001: A Space Odyssey was jaw-droopingly pristine, and getting to see Lawrence of Arabia on a screen that big, and with a crowd thrilling/despairing to Lawrence's exploits/failures, was about as pure of a cinema experience as one can have.

Each of those 2001 and Lawrence screenings sold out, and this weekend, the Hollywood's 70mm series concludes with two more sure-to-sell-out classics: West Side Story (SNAP SNAP SNAP) and Aliens.

There are still a few tickets left for West Side Story. But all three of those Aliens screenings are already sold out.

Luckily for you (perhaps), the Mercury is giving away a pair of tickets to one of those sold-out screenings: Aliens at 10 pm this Friday, July 15.

What've you got to do to enter? Send me an email, make sure the subject line is "LV-426," and tell me, in 50 words or less, who your favorite Aliens character is and why. Is it Ripley? Newt? Hicks? Bishop? Vasquez? The Queen? Or are you that one asshole who likes Burke? Whoever makes the most convincing case to me by 4 pm today will get to see Aliens this Friday night at the Hollywood, on 70mm, with a sold-out crowd.

All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Get to it.
