This year's Pride fest joins two awesome ideas: giving back and grinding it up all night on the dance floor. Although these ideas were never mutually exclusive, the teamwork and community evidenced during this year's Pride preparation is exciting! Another exciting thing: hot pants.

These events, unless otherwise noted, are at the Main Stage at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. A complete guide to Pride events can be found at pridenw.org.

Friday, June 15

6 pm Pulse Pride Dance Party —The second annual Pulse Pride dance party kicks off with DJs Dougalicious, Paul Song, and superstar DJ Tony Moran bringing the beats as the sun goes down.

3:30 pm Bruce "TD" King —Singer and comedian Bruce the Drag King warms up the crowd with some super sweet guy yuks.

6 pm Portland Dyke March —I don't think there's anything that thrills my heart more than women supporting women, in leather, waving, and making suggestive hand signs. Gather just outside the gates of the Waterfront Festival after the Nina Sky performance.

8 pm Inferno —This is the official Pride party. If you are partying anywhere else, it is not sanctioned. Check out the burlesque, vendors, DJs, and dancing! Refuge, 116 SE Yamhill, $11-15

3 pm Pride VIP Backstage Party —This year, Pride is offering VIP passes as a way to raise funds and keep the fest affordable for everyone. Purchase a VIP pass for $50 (or $75 for two) and get into the VIP Backstage Party. Maybe you'll meet one of those Backstreet Boys!

3:30 pm Kim English —Impart to me the wisdoms of life, dance diva Kim English. Dance divas are the most wise.

5 pm Cazwell —Queer rapper and songwriter, Cazwell takes the stage! What rhymes with Cazwell? Tell me!

5:25 pm Colton Ford —What do you think about former porn stars turned pop stars? I think they're great! OMG arms!
