I am against targeting certain neighborhoods. If they want to do this is one place in Oregon, do it every place. Another thing, build more shelters and treatment centers. No one area should be targeted, in my opinion--I don't believe in single-outing one neighborhood.
By far--this is my "kik" Oliver.
A real leader leads. If anyone of you ever has showed up at a public Portland City Hall meeting, you can plainly see Sam Adams is not doing his job. So, even despite the controversy of Sam Adams in office now, he needs to go. A true leader needs to listen to the people he leads.
Lol @ Gary: You must not be familiar with The Portland Mercury blog. There is rarely civility here. You've obviously have not read some of the starting blogs here back in December on this city council race. Nothing gets deleted--everything is posted warts and all. The Portland Mercury only cares about Google hits to their website. It is only an entertainment newspaper/online media. I agree with your comment Gary— it's just that civility is something The Portland Mercury could care less about the way the blogs flow here.
@ Matthew D.- You make absolutely no sense. You say that "The Mercury has endorsed Sizemore initiatives in the past. And yes most of us hate Sizemore with a passion. . . Refusing to talk to the media is a very bad strategy." Huh? How can The Portland Mercury be considered a credible news source if it has supported Sizemore in the best? Well--The Portland Mercury has obviously been proven that it in fact is the "whack job" "bat-shit crazy" source of news coverage. Any sane person would never consider The Portland Mercury an important Media. Everyone knows that The Portland Mercury is only good for a good giggle while taking a dump.
Re: “Hall Monitor”
I don't agree with any all of the Portland commisioners on where they stand with the homeless; they all care about sports and business the most. Period. I disagree with this article. 5/5 of all of the Portland commisioners irritate me.
