I don't know if this will end up being the "deep throat" leak of the Trump Era, but it does seem pretty big: an anonymous "senior official in the Trump administration" just published an op-ed in The New York Times describing an amoral, unfocused, despotic president who has to be reigned in by a secret "resistance" movement among his own political appointees.
That won't be news to anyone who's been following, well, the news. But when one of Trump's own appointees (finally) says it, perhaps there's a different weight to the words. The anonymous official writes:
Given the instability many witnessed, there were early whispers within the cabinet of invoking the 25th Amendment, which would start a complex process for removing the president. But no one wanted to precipitate a constitutional crisis. So we will do what we can to steer the administration in the right direction until — one way or another — it’s over.
No doubt President Trump is going to react well to this one.

And lo, as I have shown in my previous tweets, peaches and nectarines are absolutely delicious, and Vice President Mike Pence really likes using the word "lodestar" in his writing. In fact, one might call it his...— Dan Bloom (@danbl00m) September 5, 2018
