Awesome alert! Tonight from 5-7 pm, Black Wagon is debuting a series of paintings by local 13-year-old artist Levi Pitters. Over at Hungry Eyeball (a website operated by the painter’s father) Pitters introduces himself and tells us about his work:
Hello, my name is Levi Pitters and I am thirteen years old. I have pretty much been doing art for as long as I can remember. I started my career selling fimo clay art at Last Thursday on Alberta when I was seven. I evolved into doing paintings when my mom started Crafty Wonderland and I started selling my art there all the time.
I am inspired by my favorite TV shows like 30 Rock, The Office, Lost and Doctor Who. I am also inspired by different musicians such as Eminem and Kanye West. The show I’m having at Black Wagon is called HELLO my name is because I’m using those name badge stickers to identify the people in the paintings.
Black Wagon is located at 3964 N Mississippi Ave. If you’re in the neighborhood, stop by, check out the art, and talk a little 30 Rock with Levi.

I bought a painting from him on Alberta a few years back. I think it’s supposed to be a character from Spongebob, but I can’t tell. Good for him and yay Crafty Wonderland is next weekend!
Props to kids making art but Black Wagon is hella expensive and when some kids are homeless can you really justify spending 50 bucks on an arty shirt for yr kid who is a brat and entitled? I think not.
I don’t get it. Is this kid supposed to be good? I could draw a more convincing ninja turtle when I was in 2nd grade.
“Everyone gets a gold star!”
“Inspired from my favorite TV shows” –Great.
