It’s the National Bike Summit this week in Washington DC. What better way to recognize the biggest bicycle lobbying time of the year than by interviewing Oregon Representative Earl Blumenauer on Politico and making him look like kind of a dork.

Blumenauer tells Politico’s Patrick Gavin about his bike commute to the Capitol Building and manages to only use the phrase “bike-partisan” once. Hang on, here’s a screenshot:

  1. If you don’t like his helmet send him a cool one. Maybe one from a local Portland Bike helmet company like Nutcase. It is a shame that no american company makes a helmet like the Yakkay Smart One Tokyo Helmet. Earl could rock that brain bucket.
