did that person not finish their grade school spelling assignments?
“hiways” “nerrow” ???
there’s a plethora on there to choose from.
Bike Free Portland is a great blog! It mirrors my thoughts exactly. Bikers beware, you will be eliminated if you run a stop sign while I’m going through an intersection!
this makes me want to go throw a stick between your bianchi pista’s spokes at the RQTC
OOOOH! I FOUND THE BEST QUOTE EVER!
“Bikers are either illiterate or just plane stupid.”
Hahahahahahahahaha!
Not funny.
A sterling performance by Mr. Depper.
“I’m a Depper, you’re a Depper, don’t you want to be a Depper, too?”
I say. Silliness is contagious, say, what?
Next!
Apparently the Rose Quarter TC is so bad that it makes up the entire top ten list referred to in the title! But why is anyone hanging around there for two hours to begin with?
Also, if you want anyone to take your views seriously, incorporating a swastika into your logo is probably a really bad idea.
I don’t know why bikers still use the roads. Way too dangerous. Its all about the sidewalks. Time to take back the sidewalks! If you hit a pedestrian most likely they drive a car so no biggs.
Can’t we all just get along?
Fucking A’ if one more person assigns another asinine label in this city I’m going to puke.
How ’bout this – I consider all of you idiots and assholes and it’s your job to convince me you fall outside of that category and if you choose not too then I have the right to ignore the fuck out of you.
i seroiusly don’t get people. Drivers bikers pedestrians busses, what does it matter? We all do stupid shit that drives everyone crazy! Stop pretending like you don’t just because you use one particular form of transportation. We all have a right to be on the streets, so when you see someone else do something stupid, just think of all the times you’ve done something stupid or broken the law and let it go!
It seems to me that the law requiring bicyclists to adhere to the same laws as cars is only designed to inconvenience bicyclists.
I can’t ride on the sidewalk downtown. Why? I’m much safer (on my bicycle) there than in the street and present very little threat to pedestrians as long as I ride no faster than a person at a trot. Who was ever killed on a sidewalk by a bicyclist? It seems to me the worst risk is probably a bruise. Out in downtown traffic, my life is at risk! It seems to me that the law requires me to risk my neck in traffic for no other reason than that little old ladies don’t like to share the sidewalk with a bicycle.
Coming to a full stop on a bicycle isn’t the same as stopping a car. It’s much more inconvenient. As long as I slow down to 1 or 2 mph and look both ways, I don’t understand why I should have to come to a full stop like a car. It makes no logical sense. I’m no safer if I come to a full stop. No one else is any safer.
It seems to me that requiring bicycles to adhere to the same laws as cars “to the letter” overlooks the fact that a bicyclist is a hybrid of pedestrian (literally foot powered) and vehicle. And in terms of safety, we’re a lot more like pedestrians that cars.
Car drivers resent it when bicyclists flout the law. The answer is obvious: More reasonable law that reflects the differences between the two kinds of vehicles.
Why is there so much animosity towards bicyclists?
two words:
CRITICAL MASS
Soon fun for all
