TIE-TASTIC: THERE IS NOTHING NEWS-WORTHY ABOUT THIS BLOG POST...MOVE ON...

So says Mayor Adams. But he’s wearing a tie this morning that until yesterday belonged to City Commissioner Dan Saltzman’s chief of staff, Brendan Finn. He had complemented Finn’s tie, says Adams, and so, Finn gave him the tie, in a tradition the mayor has started. I rather liked the tie and said so—so the mayor started to remove it. But I don’t have a collar on today, and taking it would probably get me in hot water with the “accountability journalists.” So he gets to keep it.

Would Amanda Fritz give me one of her scarves, I wonder?

  • TIE-TASTIC: TELL THE MAYOR YOU LIKE HIS TIE, NEXT TIME YOU SEE HIM

  1. But Matt, would the tie match your new ear ring?

God… this ear ring thing is just making me smile so much.

Okay… So I can just walk around City Hall saying, “I like your tie” and start a rad tie collection?

  2. I have lots of ties and wear them all the time. I might adopt this idea. Plus, if I ever ran low, no one wears ties anymore, so thrift stores have exemplary selections!

  3. @Matt: Have you seen Fantastic Mr. Fox yet? I’m guessing no, because if you had, you’d know that all the cook kids are saying “cussing” now instead of using punctuation to obfuscate the vulgarities.
