Loathe as I am to keep linking to Nick Budnick’s stories over at the Tribune, I have to give the guy credit when it comes to dogging the Police Bureau and District Attorney patch. I’ve been out of town for four days, but Budnick posted this important update to the James Chasse story last week, and apart from giving credit where it’s due, I wanted to point you in its direction in case you weren’t yet aware.

  1. I’ve said before that if you have two people, one of whom is erring in their grammar while the other is pointing out said errors, then the person pointing out the mistakes is the more demonstrably flawed as an individual. As such, it is as a curiosity and not a criticism that I bring up the fact that “loathe” is a verb meaning “hate,” while “loath” is an adjective, the kind of thing one might be, meaning “reluctant.”
