People are digging this week’s cover story about the dark histories of objects from the police evidence room, so I wanted to post a couple more of photographer Nicolle Clemetson‘s creepy portraits of the bizarre and mundane items.

These ones didn’t make the cut for the paper, so I don’t know their backstories. But sometimes it’s better just to imagine.
