Admittedly I don’t watch a lot of Fox News. Let me rephrase that… I don’t watch ANY Fox News unless it’s cut down into digestible tidbits on the YouTube. Maybe that’s why I’ve never seen or heard of this Fox News early morning show called Red Eye. Apparently it’s some sort of comedy roundtable that discusses current events? But I could be completely wrong, because the following clip is so full of “WHAT… THE… FUCK” that it practically defies labeling.

Here’s what’s going on: The roundtable is discussing the religious practice of the Arapaho tribe who apparently occasionally kill bald eagles in their ceremonies—which you would think would have everyone in a fucking lather (especially the Fox host), but instead it seems to be fodder for another sad attempt at Republican “comedy”… which I’m sorry, they are never any good at.

HOWEVER! Actually funny and smart comedian Michael Ian Black is there (Michael Ian Black, what are you doing there??) and almost saves this jaw-dropping clusterfuck. Almost.

Again… Michael Ian Black? WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?

Bang bang, choo-choo train, let me see you shake that thang. Wm. Steven Humphrey is the editor-in-chief of the Portland Mercury and has held the job since 2000. (So don’t get any funny ideas.)

  1. This does set the bar higher than ever for the morning zoo genre by making it possible to actually see the people being unfunny, but really Fox News could just fire these people and just show the stock footage of bald eagles and ratings would probably go up.

  2. At least with their Daily Show knock-offs they were so bad it was amusing to see how shitty it was. This is worse than not funny. It would be better if it were offensively bad. This is boring on every possible level.

  3. I love how any time the host talks, it stops any momentum the panel might have. “DO YOU THINK THE BALD EAGLE KNOWS IT’S BALD?” Ugh. And the red man jokes. Sigh.
